Local woman  heads to  provincial  lawn bowling  competition

Lawn bowling - The Elora Rocks Lawn Bowling Club was the host club for the Women’s Singles Competitions Play Downs for District 7 on July 29 and 30. Lorene Jones represented the Elora club and competed against other District 7 clubs, all trying to make it to the provincial competition, which will be held on Aug. 12 and 13, hosted by the Heritage Greens Club in Kitchener. Jones emerged the victor with a complete sweep, winning all three of her games. She will be competing against women from 16 districts across Ontario.       Submitted photo
