Pirate training - The pirates at the annual Pirate Festival in Marden Park from Aug. 5 to 7 taught visitors about pirate weaponry. LEFT: Quartermaster William Blydes (Rob Brunner) from the Thousand Island Pirates Society showed 5-year-old Chino Neo of Guelph how to sword fight as part of a sword fighting demonstration on Aug. 6. RIGHT: Visitors could also try out their bow and arrow skills at the archery booth.
