Rankin heading to Fergus

FERGUS - Singer, songwriter, actress and Canada 150 ambassador, Heather Rankin is coming to  the Fergus Grand Theatre on Oct. 13.

“Rankin is perhaps best known as a member of the multi-award winning group, The Rankin Family,” officials state.

The group made their mark throughout the 1990s touring the world, selling over a million records and bringing the music of Cape Breton and Nova Scotia to an international audience.

In 2016 Rankin released her debut solo album which sees her forge her own musical legacy with upbeat Rankin-style numbers, soaring ballads, personal and poetic lyrics and bold collaborations.

The album, A Fine Line,  received  a 2017 Juno Award  nomination for best adult contemporary album of the year as well as East Coast Music Award  nominations for both folk recording of the year and fan’s choice video of the year.

The show will take place at 8pm at the Fergus Grand Theatre on Oct. 13.

Tickets, $35 including all taxes and fees, are on sale now at the theatre box office, by calling 519-787-1981 or online at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca.
