The Louise Marshall Hospital auxiliary in Mount Forest is celebrating 95 years of volunteer service this year and recently members and other hospital volunteers were special guests at a volunteer appreciation tea in the hospital boardroom. TOP: Auxiliary president Linda Dunk, left, was thanked and presented with a bouquet of flowers by Sherri Ferguson, vice president, human resources and support services. ABOVE: Stephen Street, president and chief executive officer of the Wellington Health Care Alliance, cut and helped serve a decorated anniversary cake. In the photo he chats with auxiliary member Alma Mathers, who will be celebrating her 100th birthday this year. Another active auxiliary member, Laura Marchment, will also celebrate the milestone birthday in 2017, with member Audrey Donald also well into her 90s. The auxiliary was formed in the spring of 1922 with a goal of “assisting the men’s board of the Mount Forest General Hospital.” The hospital was renamed in memory of Louise Marshall in 1928. Mrs. J. N. Scott was the first president.  Photos by Lynne Turner
