Man charged in Mount Forest break-ins

MOUNT FOREST - Police have arrested a Mount Forest man in connection with two local break-ins and thefts.

Wellington County OPP officers responded to a report of a break-in at Nostalgic Wood in Mount Forest at about 8am on March 7.

Police say that after  reviewing evidence of a suspect taking items from the shop, they were able to identify the suspect and later locate him. The suspect was located with other items allegedly stolen from another break-in at the Canadian Tire store in Mount Forest.

Gordon Kostal, 35, of Mount Forest, was charged with break and enter and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000).

Kostal was held for bail and scheduled to appear in Guelph court on March 8.
