Bowling for Kids Sake

The Arthur and Alma communities had 135 bowlers support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Wellington’s Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser at the Mount Forest Bowling Centre on March 5. For 30 years, Marnie Mainland was executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Wellington. Now retired, the Arthur resident and her family members were bowling in Mount Forest on Sunday. From left: her husband Bill Mainland, son Randy Mainland of Orangeville holding two-year-old Carter Mainland, Briar-Rose Mainland, 4, Emily Scott, 5, and daughter Megan Scott holding 11-month-old Xavier. The Scotts are from Fergus. The Arthur/Alma bowlers raised over $11,600, bringing the campaign total thus far to nearly $42,00. Still to be included are totals from some local school challenges as well as a few outstanding donations.   Photo  by Lynne Turner
