Max Gear on the move - in Fergus

by Mike Robinson

FERGUS - Max Gear is planning to expand.

On Feb. 21, Centre Wellington council came out of closed session regarding a land sale in the Fergus industrial park. Council approved the sale of 1.5 acres of township-owned industrial land - 191 Gregson Court - at a price of $108,750.

The property was purchased by Igor Stomp of Max Gear Inc. which manufactures, distributes and provides training for harnesses used in working at heights.

The business is currently located at the Beckett Centre (Fergus) on Gartshore Street.

Linton said the intent is to expand business operations.
